Communities of Practice

The members of PPMRN are a large and diverse group of people with many different interests. To help members with similar interests find each other and also find resources that may be of more interest to them, we've organized much of our content around the following communities of practice:

    Welcome to the 311 Community of Practice:

    The 311 Community of Practice brings together practitioners, especially those in local government, elected officials, professional associations, academia, citizens, and vendors for 311 and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) systems. The purpose of the Community is to provide resources through our extensive online knowledge base and engage in substantive and insightful discourse on the use of 311 and CRM systems in the public sector.

    Welcome to the Municipal Performance Measurement Community of Practice:

    The Municipal Performance Measurement Community of Practice brings together practitioners, especially those in local, state and federal government, elected officials, professional managers, citizens, and academia, around the myriad issues related to municipal performance measurement. The purpose of the Community is to provide resources through our extensive online knowledge base and engage in substantive and insightful discourse on the issues related to municipal performance measurement.

    Welcome to the Public Health Community of Practice:

    Issues of performance in U.S. public health run the gamut of government policies and efforts to protect, promote, and restore U.S. and global citizens’ health.  The purpose of this Community is to provide its members access to resources that support performance measurement, management, and improvement in all aspects of public health.  We welcome the input of all members in our effort to make this the “go to” site for current information about public health performance.
