Arie Halachmi

Professor Arie Halachmi received his Ph.D. in Policy Sciences (with Distinction) in 1972 at SUNY-Buffalo starting a full time academic career. Before becoming a university professor, Dr. Halachmi was a Civil Servant specializing in public policy and productivity issues. He published more than two hundred scholarly articles and chapters and many of them have been translated to languages such as Arabic, Chinese, Danish, Dutch, German , Indonesian, Korean, Spanish, Swedish, French, and Greek. Twelve of his books are on the shelves of the US Library of Congress. Halachmi was a Fellow of the Inter-University Institute of Government of the Netherlands (1996) and, a Visiting Professor at the University of Tweente (1995-2000). Since 1996 Dr. Halachmi is also a visiting and research professor at Sun Yat –Sen University (China) where one of his books was translated to Chinese.
