Alan Shark

Alan Shark’s career has spanned over 25 years as a highly recognized leader in both the nonprofit management and technology fields, with an emphasis on technology applications for business and government. In addition to his other duties, Dr. Shark serves as project director for PTI’s Alfred P. Sloan Foundation's grant on Citizen-Engaged Community Designation Program for Multi-channel Government Contact Centers. Most recently Dr. Shark served as President and CEO of the American Mobile Telecommunications Association (AMTA). Dr. Shark also served as the Associate Executive Director and Publisher for the Water Environment Federation. While most of his career has been in nonprofit organizations, he has worked with many business and professional trade groups and was vice president for marketing at Voice Computer Technologies Corporation. He was recently appointed Assistant Professor for Public Affairs and Administration at Rutgers University-Newark.
